Winelab writes: A mostly anonymous but quite widespread grape from Northern France. The name probably comes from Auxois, an old name for Alsace, where the grape originates. The variety is a natural cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc. The name Auxerrois has confusingly also been used for Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, all three
