Description
Barolo commune
There is a hint of warmth but overall this is quite well-balanced and the length is remarkable
The 2013 Barolo Gavarini Chiniera is much showier than the Ginestra Casa Matè
when the average harvest requires only 22 pairs of vineyard hands
The linear backend is clearly in need of time to flesh out but the underlying material is clearly here to allow that to happen
Chandon de Briailles, Pernand Ile Vergelesses Rouge Vintage:2021 Barolo commune(a mix of vine ages though the oldest date from 1938). This is at once fresher and cooler with its airy nose of intensely floral suffused aromas of red and dark raspberry. There is even better vibrancy to the detailed and stony middle weight flavors that also possess good depth and persistence on the finish that flashes a similar hint of sweetness.
