Nicely balanced firm tannins on a dark fruit, dark contemplative palate with tobacco leaves. 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Aged 8 months in Slavonian oak casks, then for another 2 to 3 months in bottle. The Illuminati family has been making wine for over 120 years; Illuminati winery founded in 1890, and currently run by Nicolas grandson Dino since the 1950s and now with his sons and nephews.
