Description
There is a hint of warmth but overall this is quite well-balanced and the length is remarkable
it's not hard to imagine the dark berry concentration
Medium-full bodied with its secondary nuances of wet earth
Although Gaja is easily the most glamorous winery in Piedmont
the vineyards limestone soils manage to impart the requisite acidity
Francois Lamarche, Clos Vougeot Vintage:2010 There is a hint of(from 3 different parcels, one at the bottom and two at the top but on opposite sides). A fresh, cool and perfumed nose of mostly red currant and cherry is liberally laced with notes of earth, underbrush and oak nuances. There is a very forward, even lush palate impression to the bigger, richer and more powerful flavors that also possess fine mid palate concentration though not necessarily better persistence. This too will need a few years of cellar
