Miniature RAF Long Service & Good Conduct Version:CIIIR King Charles III King George VI issueThe Royal Air Force Long Service Medal was originally awarded for 18 years exemplary service the qualifying period was reduced to 15 years in 1977. Officers are eligible provided at least 12 years of their service was in the ranks. Further awards are indicated by adding bars to the ribbon.
